Sin City Rocks!

Like everyone else this weekend, I went to see "Sin City". I was impressed. Being a fan of graphic novels and the whole 'noir' thing, I really enjoyed the movie. The violence was a little over the top but it worked. Violence on the printed page certainly doesn't have the impact that a full motion movie has, so what might have seemed tame in print...grabs you by the throat here.

The visuals are amazing. I am also hopeful for the future of cinema as this movie certainly raises the bar on what type of stories can be told. It also gives hope to would-be filmmakers about what is possible with the new digital mediums.

This movie will not appeal to everyone, but it certainly is worth a watch.
